Recently, semiconductor equipment giant Lam Research announced the official opening of its engineering center in Bangalore, India.
Lam said this is the company's most advanced facility in India to date. The new engineering center will focus on the R&D, design and testing of wafer fabrication hardware and software used to create next-generation DRAM, NAND and logic technologies, and will be an integral part of the company's leading global laboratory network.
In addition to the new center, Lam Lam currently operates two other factories in Bengaluru, focusing on software and hardware engineering and supporting Lam's global manufacturing operations.
